New exciting work for this important musician-composer, another step in his personal research of the Knowledge. According to the ancient Greek philosophers, Logos is the highest form of Knowledge, while for the Christians , Logos is the Word of God. Paolo Di Cioccio conceives Logos like a Sound-Universe as the total amount of all the frequencies (audible or not). The aim of 'Logos' is to transpose this concept from the world of images to the world of music and Paolo Di Cioccio have composed these tracks like a suite, closely linked together with some apparent varieties. From Word he extract Time and from Time he extract the human need to identify oneself with the Unknowable: a journey to the Truth that Paolo want to resume in the famous sentence 'Ordo Ab Chaos'. BIOGRAPHY The oboist and composer Paolo Di Cioccio has studied at St. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, oboe, composing and electronic music. He has given concerts as soloist in many festivals (Festspiel Berlin, Musica Verticale ect); many composers have written works for him (Bortolozzi, Brizzi, Lupone, Marocchini, Scogna). He played in orchestras (RAI Symphonic Orchestra of Rome, Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese) under direction of Von Karajan, Inbal, Aprea, Koenig, Neuhold ect. Has recorded numerous works of classical and avant-garde music for BMG-Ariola, Edipan, Joker. Actually he his professor of oboe in 'Fausto Torrefranca' Conservatory in Vibo Valentia. His music has played for important Italian Festivals and recorded by RAI and ordered by international competitions; has founded with Enrico Cosimi in 1994 THEATRUM CHEMICUM, an experimental electro-acoustic group with two albums released by Musica Maxima Magnetica. His music is a constant alliance with the esoteric and magical research, from Masonic studies to Kabbalistic experiments. |
