Cisfinitum is a project of well-known russian musician and composer Evgueny Voronovsky, oriented to the ambient-industrial music. In spite of its comparatively recent existence, (debut took place in 1999, LP " 0 vs 0") project fastened to itself status of one of the uncommon and the radical on the Russian indie-scene. The stylistics of group distinguishes metaphysical estrangement and minimalism, firm " underwater " sounding, which balances between noise-powerelectronics and dramatic ritual-ambient. To the specific character of sound contributes the utilized set of instruments - at the disposal of group the wide arsenal both of the analog tools of Soviet production and developments in the region of digital processing of sound. Evgueny Voronovsky is professional violinist, finished Moscow state conservatory, that it could not but affect his music. Besides the electro-acoustic manipulations is present the wide spectrum of the tools, such as violin, piano, voice, different wind and percussion, subjected to through effect-processing, thanks to which Cisfinitum frequently sounds as the gloomy, it is industrial-ambient reading of academic and traditional music. MALGYL - third and last part of the trilogy, album, intended according to the concept of group to synthesize death-ambient with the the postromantic symphonysm and the Tibetan ritual music. Previous two parts - " 0vs0 " and "Landschaft " were released on CDR by the sufficiently limited print runs. Sounding trilogy in many respects is caused by the method of their record: bulk of sound these are random digital feedbacks, generated by different disabled synths and by others, including unmusical, generators of sound. Furthermore are used different acoustic objects and authentic Tibetan musical tools. Album is written down and mixed on the analog tape with subsequent digital mastering. In the record besides Of Voronovsky contributed several musicians: the representative of the new wave of the French concrete-music F.Duri, the most famous in Russia specialist of the authentic Tibetan music A. Tegin, programmer and founder of the independent label GRIEF rec. Alex Tsarev, and radical technomusician E.Soloviev. Album contains the material, from 1997 to 2001, and it differs from previous in terms of gloomier and more apocalyptical mood. On the form album is unique industrial symphony, with the through development of material and the complex structure. The majority of parts on album played live-in-studio, in the real time and without the use of sequensors. Name and the concept of album as a group, sends away to the esoteric philosophy Of D.Charms and Y.Druskin - Russian writers of suprematism of first half XX century. The word "Cisfinitum" designates the name of the system of the irrational numbers and it presents by itself the neo-latinism, translated By Charms as "logic of infinitive nonexistence". All names and symbols, used into MALGYL, also are inseparably connected with the creations Of Charms, at texts of which lie the keys to understanding the conceptual undercurrents of all albums Of Cisfinitum. Music of group during the study of these texts can fulfill the function of quotation marks, without being in this case their direct illustration.
