In presenting their debut CD the musicians, Paolo Di Cioccio on the oboe and Enrico Cosimi on electronics, wished to pay homage to the poetic initiation of universal love and inner realization. The expererience of an imaginary follower moving towards the finish line of light on the solar walk is, according to Theatrum Chemicum, the spiritual elevation of perfection and freedom, and in the most cosmic sense, union with the World's Supreme Creator.
The purpose of this plan, namely, 'to build temples in the name of Virtus and to dig up prison of 'vice', is to prepare the alchemistic mold necessary for transmutation and thus for the rise to final advancement of the new man.
'Verso la Luce' contains several thoroughly merged elements of the modern musical experience (electronic, symphonic, new age, therapeutic). In addiction, the musicians, in making use of their solid background in classical music, wanted to offer (those able to read between the lines) a musical experience, by means of sound, leading to rediscovery of the noble spirituality inherent in all free men of good will. Undoubtedly the union of the two main instruments, the oboe, messenger of sweetness and intimacy, coupled with the use of electronic means, opens up a new avenue to both sound and artistic research of which Theatrum Chemicum firmly intends to pursue to the maximum.
