A new fantastic release based on a experimental and original-extraordinary use of the voice mixed with ambient-mediterranean music, echoes of ancient landscapes , meditative spaces and ritual percussions. This is real ambient music, as for the first time a band of five musicians has been recorded live in such sacred places of Magna Grecia in South Italy. The recording of this music was undertaken in historical sites situated in the Flegrea area around Naples, Italy: Il Tempio di Mercurio in the ancient thermal area of Baia, la Piscina Mirabilis in Bacoli, l'Antro della Sibilla around Lake Averno. These songs were created the moment they were recorded taking advantage of the incredible acoustics found in these sites. The instruments were: voices , percussion, material found on the spot and shells. Intense research was done where they tried to listen and respect the vibes of these places and most of all have them live through their Sound. A voyage where vast freedom can be heard on behalf of all the musicians who were experimenting trying to evoke and fluctuate through a Pleasant game suspended in the forms. The songs do not have lyrics (except for the second one) and the phrases written on each page of the CD booklet belong to a part of the authors who in certain moments of reflection, contributed to give a better light to la via. |
